In celebration of implementing Title21’s Quality Management System one year ago, Indiana Blood Center recently held a “Birthday Party”, looking back on the successes since deploying the system. “Title21 Software has been a great company to work with. They have been a true partner in implementing and using their system, rather than just a product vendor,” said Kim Carson, Indiana Blood Center’s Quality Database Applications Developer. Indiana Blood Center is the state’s largest independent not-for-profit blood provider – with 60 years of experience connecting Indiana blood donors to patients in need at hospitals in the state through volunteer blood donation.
When asked how day-to-day life has changed since implementing Title21’s Quality Manager, Kim said, “The Quality Manager product has been a tremendous process improvement for the first quality data forms we have implemented. We don’t have misplaced or buried paperwork, and users can quickly see items at a glance that are assigned to them and their due dates. These improvements to the process have resulted in a 65% decrease in time from initiation of the process to close.” Having an electronic system to streamline Indiana Blood Center’s workflows and gain efficiencies is a tremendous enhancement that supports them in meeting the needs of Indiana hospitals everyday. Indiana Blood Center needs to see 620 donors each and every day to supply the needs of their patients and the community.
Here at Title21, we are thrilled to be continuing our partnership with Indiana Blood Center and continue playing a role in the amazing and important work they do on a daily basis. In regard to the future, Kim said, “As Indiana Blood Center is celebrating the first anniversary of the Quality Manager implementation; we are looking forward to the additional efficiencies we will gain from upgrading our software and implementing the Documents and Training Modules in the next year.”
